The selected candidate will work in the Hematology Department, operating essential diagnostic tools, performing routine and specialized blood tests, and supporting physicians with accurate laboratory findings. Additionally, the technologist will maintain quality controls, follow SOPs strictly, and collaborate with the hospital’s multidisciplinary medical team. Since hematology is a critical discipline, the ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to precision.
Perform routine hematology tests, including CBC, ESR, PT, APTT, peripheral smear examination, and reticulocyte count.
Execute specialized tests such as D-dimer, Coagulation Profiles, and Blood Grouping whenever required.
Maintain all laboratory equipment and ensure calibration is done regularly.
Prepare reagents, verify controls, and document quality assurance activities.
Assist doctors by providing timely and accurate test results, especially for emergency and critical cases.
Ensure strict compliance with infection-control protocols and biosafety standards.
Record, store, and secure patient data in accordance with hospital guidelines.
Identify unusual test results and immediately inform the concerned physician or supervisor.
Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and ongoing training sessions to enhance professional competency.
Support efficient workflow by coordinating with the OPD, IPD, and Emergency Departments.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from a recognized institute.
Practical experience in hematology testing will be preferred; however, fresh candidates with strong academic performance may also apply.
Familiarity with automated hematology analyzers and manual methods.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends, when needed.
