Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine hematology tests, including CBC, ESR, PT, APTT, peripheral smear examination, and reticulocyte count.

• Execute specialized tests such as D-dimer, Coagulation Profiles, and Blood Grouping whenever required.

• Maintain all laboratory equipment and ensure calibration is done regularly.

• Prepare reagents, verify controls, and document quality assurance activities.

• Assist doctors by providing timely and accurate test results, especially for emergency and critical cases.

• Ensure strict compliance with infection-control protocols and biosafety standards.

• Record, store, and secure patient data in accordance with hospital guidelines.

• Identify unusual test results and immediately inform the concerned physician or supervisor.

• Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and ongoing training sessions to enhance professional competency.

• Support efficient workflow by coordinating with the OPD, IPD, and Emergency Departments.

• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from a recognized institute.

• Practical experience in hematology testing will be preferred; however, fresh candidates with strong academic performance may also apply.
