This full-time Nursing Staff position involves delivering direct patient care, supporting doctors, and ensuring that all clinical procedures run efficiently. Additionally, the selected nurse will manage patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, immunizations, and emergency support. Because BHUs operate with limited resources compared to large hospitals, the nursing staff must demonstrate adaptability, strong decision-making, and excellent coordination skills.
Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vitals, assessing symptoms, and recording medical histories.
Administer medications according to prescriptions and ensure patients understand dosage instructions.
Assist doctors during examinations, minor procedures, and emergency treatments.
Perform wound dressing, IV cannulation, injections, and other routine nursing procedures.
Support maternal and child health services, including antenatal care, vaccination, and counseling.
Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment while following infection-control standards.
Educate patients and families on disease prevention, hygiene practices, and post-treatment care.
Manage OPD flow, triage patients efficiently, and identify emergency cases quickly.
Document patient data accurately, both manually and through digital systems when available.
Participate in health campaigns, polio drives, and community outreach programs as required.
Coordinate with lab, pharmacy, and administrative staff to ensure smooth facility operations.
Maintain medical supplies, equipment hygiene, and inventory records.
Respond quickly and professionally to urgent medical cases.
Diploma in General Nursing, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or LHV degree from a recognized institute.
Valid license or registration according to the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).
1–2 years of clinical experience (preferred), although fresh candidates with strong training may also apply.
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle diverse patients.
Knowledge of primary healthcare practices, immunization protocols, and basic emergency response.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including morning, evening, or night duties.
