Key Responsibilities

• Collect, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, stool, and other body fluids) as per hospital protocols.
• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and diagnostic devices.
• Ensure timely recording, verification, and delivery of laboratory results.
• Follow Shifa International Hospital’s SOPs for quality control and assurance.
• Manage inventory of reagents, chemicals, and laboratory supplies.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and biohazard handling guidelines.
• Assist senior lab staff and pathologists with specialized procedures when required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and information.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institute.
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates with internship experience will be considered).

Skills:

• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and diagnostic software.
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory safety protocols.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Preferred Certifications: Phlebotomy, biosafety, or quality control certifications.
