This full-time Pharmacist position involves dispensing medications, counseling patients, maintaining inventory, and supporting medical staff in therapeutic decision-making. Additionally, the pharmacist will monitor drug interactions, ensure compliance with medical regulations, and maintain accurate pharmacy records. Because the Rural Health Center caters to a diverse patient population, the selected candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and a commitment to public health.
Dispense prescription medications with accuracy while ensuring patient safety.
Review prescriptions thoroughly to check for potential drug interactions and dosage errors.
Provide medication counseling to patients, including dosage instructions, side effects, and storage guidelines.
Maintain inventory levels and ensure availability of essential medications at all times.
Manage pharmacy documentation, including stock registers, controlled-drug logs, and expiry records.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to support evidence-based treatment plans.
Participate in vaccination drives, health awareness campaigns, and community outreach programs when required.
Ensure proper storage of medicines according to temperature, humidity, and safety guidelines.
Follow national and institutional pharmacy standards, including DRAP and health department regulations.
Conduct regular audits to identify shortages, expired stock, or potential compliance issues.
Educate community members on rational drug use, self-medication risks, and preventive healthcare.
Support emergency services by preparing urgent medication orders efficiently.
Use digital or manual systems to record patient medication histories accurately.
Pharm-D degree from a recognized and accredited university.
Valid registration with the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or community pharmacy; however, fresh graduates may also apply.
Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutic guidelines.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients from rural backgrounds.
Good organizational skills and the ability to manage busy pharmacy workflows.
Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
