This full-time role is crucial for maintaining the uninterrupted supply of essential medicines, surgical disposables, and other medical inventory that support the hospital’s daily operations.

In this position, you will oversee the complete purchasing cycle, from evaluating suppliers and negotiating contracts to ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory records. Additionally, you will collaborate with medical staff, department heads, and vendors to forecast demand, manage stock levels, and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies. Procurement Management

• Participate in the bulk purchasing and tendering process for medicines and surgical disposables.
• Evaluate supplier bids and quotations for cost-effectiveness and compliance with hospital standards.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Control
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure there are no shortages or excess supplies.
• Ensure accurate stock management using standard pharmacy software systems.
• Maintain detailed records of all purchases and inventory activities.
• Vendor Coordination
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with pharmaceutical vendors and distributors.
• Track order status, negotiate delivery timelines, and resolve supply chain issues.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure all procurement and storage practices comply with regulatory standards set by health authorities.
• Stay updated with current pharmaceutical laws and guidelines.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with the hospital pharmacy team, finance department, and clinical staff to align purchasing needs with patient care requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Registered with the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
• Experience:
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical procurement or managing hospital inventory.
• Fresh graduates with excellent academic performance may also be eligible for consideration.
• Skills:
  
• Strong knowledge of medicines, surgical disposables, and medical devices.
• Knowledge of hospital procurement procedures and experience using inventory management software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Skilled at working independently while effectively prioritizing and managing various tasks with accuracy.
