Dental Officer (Community Oral Health) Full Time Job

Job Description:

PPHI Balochistan is inviting applications for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Officer to strengthen our expanding Khuzdar Health Program. This exciting role offers an opportunity to make a real impact by delivering comprehensive oral healthcare services in underserved communities. As part of our team, you will provide high-quality dental treatments, perform preventive and restorative procedures, and conduct regular oral health assessments to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment of dental conditions.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Dental Officer will lead community-based oral health outreach initiatives, including awareness campaigns in schools and local communities, to promote better oral hygiene practices and reduce preventable dental diseases. Your expertise will play a vital role in training and mentoring healthcare support staff, implementing patient-centered care plans, and ensuring compliance with PPHI’s clinical quality standards.

We are looking for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about bringing accessible dental care to the people of Balochistan. Candidates must hold a valid BDS degree and have a strong commitment to public health dentistry. Experience in rural or outreach programs will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions and diseases.
  • Perform tooth extractions, fillings, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Conduct oral health education in schools and community centers.
  • Maintain patient records and prepare regular reports.
  • Manage dental instruments and supply inventory.
  • Work collaboratively with community health workers and local NGOs.

Qualifications:

  • BDS from a recognized university.
  • Valid registration with the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) / Pakistan Dental Council (PDC).
  • 1+ year relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in rural or underserved areas.
