Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), a trusted name in quality healthcare and medical education in Sindh, is opening applications for a Senior Clinical Nurse to lead and support our Women’s Health Unit. This position is ideal for an experienced nursing professional passionate about advancing women’s health services while guiding and mentoring junior staff to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.

As a Senior Clinical Nurse, you will take a proactive role in managing patient care, overseeing daily clinical operations, and ensuring all practices align with CMCH’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and patient-centered service. Your responsibilities will include supervising nursing teams, coordinating with gynecologists and other healthcare specialists, and providing hands-on care for patients in prenatal, postnatal, and gynecological settings. You will also support complex medical procedures and contribute to clinical decision-making processes, ensuring seamless collaboration across the multidisciplinary team.

Beyond clinical duties, you will play an important role in staff development—training, mentoring, and evaluating junior nurses to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Patient education is equally central, as you’ll provide guidance on preventive health, treatment plans, and recovery, empowering women to make informed healthcare decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Obstetrics & Gynecology department.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and assist in labor/delivery processes.
• Mentor junior nurses and assistants.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with consultants, physicians, and midwives to develop patient care plans.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and follow advanced nursing procedures.

Requirements:

• GNM Diploma or BSc Nursing from a recognized institute.
• Valid PNC (Pakistan Nursing Council) registration.
• Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience (Women’s Health/OB-GYN preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible to work nights and weekends.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in maternal and neonatal care.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong leadership and mentorship qualities.
