Clinical Pharmacist – POF Hospital Wah Cantt Full Time Job

Job Summary:

POF Hospital, one of the region’s most trusted tertiary care facilities under the Pakistan Ordnance Factories Board, is looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled Pharmacist to join its progressive Pharmacy Department. In this role, the Pharmacist will be at the heart of ensuring patient safety and well-being. Key responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications with precision, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, detecting potential drug interactions, and providing counseling to patients regarding safe medication use. You will also collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff to develop optimized treatment plans that align with the hospital’s commitment to evidence-based medicine.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, committed to quality, and passionate about improving patient outcomes through expert pharmaceutical care. A degree in Pharmacy and prior experience in a hospital setting are preferred, though highly motivated fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Pharm-D from a government-recognized and Pharmacy Council-accredited university
• Valid registration with the Punjab Pharmacy Council
• Candidates with clinical pharmacy experience will be prioritized; however, recent graduates may apply
• Knowledge of drug interactions, dosage forms, and storage protocols
• Experience Required: Minimum 1–2 years (Fresh graduates may also apply)

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
• Review and validate prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness and safety, including dosage and drug interaction risks
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records and enforce proper handling and storage of medications
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, timing, and precautions
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize drug therapy
• Follow hospital protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Implement and uphold infection control practices by national and institutional pharmacy regulations

Working Hours:

• Rotational Shifts (Morning / Evening / Night)
• 6 days a week, 8-hour shifts
• One weekly off (rotational)
