Job Description:

Liaquat University Hospital (LUH), Hyderabad, a leading government tertiary care hospital affiliated with Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join its esteemed Cardiology Department. As a Consultant Cardiologist, you will provide specialized cardiovascular care, including the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a broad range of heart-related conditions. Your role will involve conducting patient consultations, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and devising evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will supervise and mentor junior medical staff, guiding them through complex cases while ensuring adherence to best practices in cardiology.

You will also actively participate in hospital-based teaching and academic activities, contributing to the training of the next generation of healthcare professionals. Minimum Qualifications:

• MBBS from a PMDC/PMC-recognized medical college
• Postgraduate specialization in Cardiology (FCPS or equivalent); MRCP and American Board credentials are considered an advantage
• Valid PMC Registration
• Demonstrated experience of 3+ years in cardiology practice at a tertiary-level hospital post-fellowship

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full spectrum of cardiac cases, from acute coronary syndromes to chronic cardiovascular management
• Perform and interpret ECG, Echocardiography, Stress Testing, and Angiography
• Provide inpatient and ICU care for cardiac emergencies
• Participate in cardiac surgery consultations and post-op management
• Supervise residents, interns, and nursing staff in cardiac care
• Engage in academic CME and research activities as per hospital policy

Required Skills:

• Expertise in non-invasive and interventional cardiology procedures
• Decision-making in emergency cardiac events (e.g., MI, arrhythmia, heart failure)
• Leadership in multidisciplinary cardiac team coordination
• Familiarity with digital health records & cardiology imaging systems
• Patient counseling and family communication skills

Working Hours:

• Monday to Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• On-call Duty: Rotational (1–2 times/week)
• Average Weekly Hours: 42–48 hours/week
