In this vital role, the Hospital Pharmacy Officer will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the accurate dispensing of medications, monitor prescription safety, and support patients in comprehending and following their prescribed treatment regimens. Key responsibilities include verifying prescription accuracy, maintaining proper dosage compliance, and contributing to safe and effective pharmaceutical care. Additionally, the officer will play an active part in educating patients on the correct use of medications, managing inventory, and ensuring strict adherence to hospital policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure patient adherence to prescribed medication schedules
• Work in close coordination with physicians and nursing staff to review, clarify, and validate prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
• Maintain accurate digital records of all administered medications
• Educate patients about correct usage, storage, and potential side effects
• Assist in stock management, reordering, and quality control of medicines
• Ensure compliance with internal and national drug safety regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Pharm-D from a recognized institution.
• 1+ year of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical care practices
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.
